covid 19-be wary but dont worry about the next wave

COVID 19-BE WARY BUT DONT WORRY ABOUT THE NEXT WAVE

first there was the wildtype the original covid 19 then alpha then delta then omicron then stealth omicron
now there is ba.4 and ba.5
these are two subvariants that started in south africa and are now in the us 
granted in small numbers
but
like delta and omicorn did if they have a advantage over those two they will replace them

if they are more transmissible and dont kill off their victims then they are likely to succeed
they make you sick but not enough to die
in science thats called being attenuated

i remember at the beginning the scientists experts that we were told to listen to had predicted that covid might do this 

it appears that may be whats happening

if you catch these new subsubsubvariants 4 and 5 you will not get real sick unless you have reduced or no immunity at all
then you might get hospitalized and maybe die

we are still loosing over 300 folks a day from covid
we are about 8,000 away from the 1,000,000 deaths from covid number 
most of these are unvaxxed folks

the best protection is in those who are quadvaxxxxed and who had covid
the least protection is in those who are not vaxxed at all 
next is the unvaxxed who had covid
these new ones seem to ignore the protection from infections and somewhat if vaxxed

it seems we all are vulnerable to getting these new infections
maybe well have some protection from vaxxination and infection 
but
if we catch these new ones
we will not get real sick
we are unlikely to get hospitalized and die

these two attack more the upper airways and not the lower airways like the originals did

so we may get like a real bad cold if we have some antibody protection
if you are not vaxxed or immunocompromised then you might show up in those real sick categories

the big worry in all this is
a new variant will come along that totally escapes the natural immunity from infection and vaxxines and is highly transmittable that can cause worse disease
these two new subvariants arent the bad one we are worried about

so
what im doing is
getting my 2nd booster of the covid vaxxine since im over 70
getting my booster this fall when it becomes available since it will probably cover the omicron and other variants better
this fall booster may come with the annual flu shots
this will become an annual vaxxine each year

since i dont want to get sick with breakthrough covid i will wear my mask inside 
i will avoid covid events

i will not fly yet until i see what the next wave will do

i have been to several large gatherings recently granted they are outside
i have eaten at several restaurants granted they are outside
i am about ready for museum visits

i am mostly doing what i did prepandemic
i dont worry about covid that much since i will be max vaxxxxed soon

i probably will not have to use my covid tests that we have stored away

mr hudson should get vaxxed next month once the fda approves the under 6 vaxxines
he will get 4 or 5 of them

i probably will always wear a mask on the airplane and at certain events especially in the winter to keep from catching upper and lower respiratory illness

so
im wary
but
i dont worry
about
