reached out to me to say she used humor in dealing with her mother and mother in laws alzheimers

she told the story about visiting her mother in law who had alzheimers with her husband
when seeing her the mother in law looked at her husband and said get that heifer out of here

later she said she scolded her husband for allowing his mom to call her a heifer thinking it was because of her weight
no no he said laughing
she just thinks im her husband and that you are the other woman im having an affair with
a heifer

im sure if you have a loved one with alzheimers youve had some funny moments with them 

laughing about things like that helps deal with the pain of dealing with alzheimers patients

we did it with my mother and my younger brother during some funny moments

it eases the pain some

when i get like her mother in law 
i dont mind my family using humor dealing with my decline
just make sure you are laughing with me
and
not laughing at me

sometimes people use humor and laughing to deal with stress and discomfort
it helps some
