dear ms b-have a good one today

DEAR MS B-HAVE A GOOD ONE TODAY

today is your birthday
you are quarantined at your house with mom and dad and mr hudson where you have been for over a month
dad is self quarantined in the back bedroom as a safety precaution for a few days
you didnt get to see my wife she your gmajo for almost 3 weeks
thank goodness you got to see her yesterday

here you are wearing your made for you paw patrol mask like a responsible adult i mean kid

here are you and mr hudson anxiously looking out the window yesterday when you were told you would be getting a birthday present
that present was gmajo
i think she enjoyed seeing yall as much as yall did
she said she could hear the squeals of joy through the window

yes gmajo wore her n95 mask and washed her hands good coming and going
yes we are probably being overly cautious
this protects yall and protects her

we are hoping she is now immune and im sure i will be
thank goodness if we are both immune

there was a time about 2 weeks ago when i thought i would never see you and mr hudson again
i was sad and yes i cried
yes i teared up when i saw that picture of you and mr hudson
but
today i am quite happy
why
its your birthday

since you cant read well yet ill go ahead and write this
there is going to be a parade down the street where you can watch it through that picture window
it will be gmajo and i and others who will drive by and honk and yell and sing happy birthday to you

sorry i am still afraid to be around you guys
ill be on the sidewalk or in our car
but
soon soon i hope i will be standing in that window with you


i remember 3 years ago when you stayed at our country n with us for a week
you walked the dogs down to the river
you  played in the water
throwing rocks and catching minnows and bugs
you got to ride a friends big ole horse around and around in that round pen
you got to fly a big ole kite way up in the sky
you got to lay in a bed of those beautiful bluebonnets and look up in the sky to see that kite way up there
i hope you can remember that some

your life has changed by this last 4 weeks
you seemed to have suddenly grown up
mr hudson absolutely loves and adores you
thank you for being such a great big sister
helping mr hudson and mom and dad during this time

hopefully you will get to play with your friends soon instead of visiting them on facetime or zoom

i want to wish you a very very happy birthday
you will always have a special place in our hearts
when you see me today
