thats what i think of
when i see them flash that word
across the tv screen

daca
deferred action for childhood arrivals


i think it says dracula
since
they plan to suck the blood out of those kids lives

we will know who they is
when this is all over

we are in this mess
since congress has not done its job
democrats and republicans

these kids affected by the daca ruling
they are called the dreamers
i dont know
i watch the news reports about them
how productive human beings they are
they are mostly doing what they are suppose to be doing
many of them have brothers and sisters who already
are us citizens
they just happened to be born a few months before
their siblings

how can we as a country do this to this group of kids

now
when i was in practice
some of my kids were daca kids
they many of them were honor students
many are now college graduates
are
teachers
graduate students
tech engineers
military officers and enlisted soldiers
veterans
mechanics
plumbers
mothers
fathers
taxpayers

how can we just suck the blood out of their lives

we as a society
as voters
need to take that silver spike
and
drive it through the hearts of they
so they dont
destroy the daca kids lives

sometimes
we
as a nation
just have to do the right thing

saving the dacca kids
is
the right thing to do

doing otherwise
is just being mean spirited
unamerican
