TO OR NOT TO
like in that shakespeare play
to floss or not to floss
that is the question
well now
my wife she answered that question
years ago
shes a not to person
yesterday while looking for a roll of floss
since i had used all mine up
i looked into her drawer in the bathroom
there
in the bottom of the drawer under all those
things that can accumulate down there in that
dark dungeon
like if i have to dig in her purse to get her car keys
something i never like to do
since
i never know what may be learching there
to bite or snap my fingers
digging around
yes i wore gloves this time
surgical gloves
i found this roll of floss
she gets a roll and a toothbrush every time she gets
her teeth cleaned
there was this dust covered what use to be white
roll of dental floss
i pulled it out of its container
cut it off
threw away the first 2 feet until it turned white
then
i flossed my teeth
i felt so much better after doing this
even rubbed my tongue around my teeth
my mouth felt cleaner
then
i read this article yesterday
you dont need to floss
it doesnt make a difference
made my wife she happy
she felt like she was right after all
like when you have an argument with your spouse
then
facts prove you were wrong they were right
you know what im talking about
well she gave me one of those
i told you so looks
smirky like
my take
ill ignore her
my mouth feels better after i floss
gets rid of all that stuff off my teeth
that my toothpicks cant reach
then
there is evidence that inflammation and infection in the gums
and teeth may transfer that reaction into the brain
some bacteria may float up there
popping through that blood brain barrier of mine
its already got holes in it
i dont want to let more stuff through
its one of the items on the regimen im on for my memory
brush every day preferable with one of those vibrating
toothbrushes
and
to floss every day
so to or not to
im with shakespeare on this one
im gonna do it
im going to be not to be
