OH MY
thats all i could say about all this
as i came out of a week of mostly cell phone and internet
free week
while visiting friends and family in arkansas
culminating the week
with our annual family reunion this weekend at
the old washinton state park
the former capital of the state of arkansas
a journey back in time as we visited
both in the buildings
and
seeing old friends and family
then
this weekend on sunday we returned back home
we had been in a cellphone and internet desert
for almost a week
not
really paying much attention to what was going on
outside of our world
we turned on our phones and our internet and our tv
as i watched
all i could say was
oh my
i thought all this got fixed in the 60s and 70s
i guess not
to me it looks like that we have a
no lives matter movement
then i opened the blog
this blog
or
look to the right on my blog page to the
list of my favorite blogs
its called
confessions of an aspergers mom
an in the face from the heart
blog on what its like to have an aspergers son
two teenage black ones
its raw at times when she writes
but
it gets your attention
this weeks blog is on her worries for her two
asperger black teenage sons who cant read social clues
very well
its titled
dear america
yes she and her husband have given them the
what to do if you are stopped by police several times
if you were black you would too
she worries a lot about it
i would too if i had two black sons
seems they are the ones that always get shot
i would say if you are white you should read her blog
walk in her shoes
now
my younger brother the one who died from alzheimers disease
was a policeman
i worried about him a lot as he patrolled around a lot
in a rural area known for crime and drugs and shootings
i can only imagine
how much his family must have worried about him
each night as he drove off to work
as i see it
blue lives matter
black lives matter
brown lives matter
yellow lives matter
red lives matter
white lives matter
all lives matter
its all our jobs to make sure
that that happens
that all lives matter
in america
there are two things i would not want to be
black
or
a policeman
how did we get to this point
not sure
but
we need to change
its all up to us no matter our color
to
make sure this all ends
so
that all lives matter
