MR BILL
thats mr bill
his picture has been shown on the internet the last
24 hrs attached to the tropical storm
bill
now mr bill the storm
hit the coast yesterday
it slowed a lot going about 8 mph
then slowly slowly headed our way
this morning i watched it spin and spin like a top
looking like those storms in the gulf as they spin and spin
i thought that all that went away when it hit the land
but
off it goes now up the i35 corridor on to dallas
oklahoma arkansas missouri and points north
dumping rain where its not needed
now yesterday
the predicted path early on was headed straight
to the country n
so that into the evening
it would have had its eye sitting on my front pasture
but
like a spinning top that hits a rock
younger folks may not ever experienced spinning a top
that goes another direction
thats what mr bill did sometime in the afternoon and
evening
he tweeked its path slightly
so that we are now on the western side of the storm
now i completely changed my plans based on the
original prediction
we might have ended on the eastern side
which would have meant inches and inches of rain
leaving us with flooding and swollen creeks and
river
but
mr bill he did good
he dinged himself off slightly
sparing us
so we are getting only an inch or two of rain
oh mr bill oh oh
thanks

Guess we were lucky yesterday with the rains not being as hard as was thought. I got caught in a heavy thundershower about 3 this afternoon on NE Austin near Pflugerville. Hopefully Lakes Travis and Buchanan are closer to being full now.
