long year

LONG YEAR
its going to be a long year or so
listening to all the political speeches
all really saying much the same

i kinda like the english system
where it all occurs at the last minute
and
it doesnt cost so much to run for office

heck
now in the us
folks like the koch brothers can pour 1 billion dollars
into an election
im sorry all that money corrupts folks
you dont give all that money
and
not expect something in return

something thats good for those two guys
is not usually good for the rest of us
you and i
no matter what your political views are

so it will be a year or so of all the republicans
trying to go as far as they can to the right
in order to win the nomination
then
suddenly have to reverse the course
to get to the middle
for
if they dont they wont win the election

then they will spend the next year or so
attacking hillary
and
attacking each other

theres so many republicans running
so many are the same
they need to cull some of them


now hillary is lucky since she has no opposition
except for bernie from vermont
who will be like a little dog
biting at her heels

she will be able to position herself politically as
as she needs to be to be ready for the general election
much like
bush did in 2004 and obama in 2012
saving their money and strength for the fight
after the conventions are done

so
i wish that we could have two fresh faces
emerge
a moderate republican and a moderate democrat
since thats where most of us are politically
but
im afraid it will be more of the same
