vax continued

VAX CONTINUED
it seems from the response i got from my vaccine blog
that a lot of folks are interested in the topic
after all it does affect them and their families

now some doctors will refuse to treat patients who
would not be vaccinated
i never did that
i did warn the parents that if their child gets sick
to be sure
and
tell the doctor that their child was unvaccinated

it does alter what you do even if the child just has a high fever
the doctor has to think of things that could cause the
infection
that they have probably never seen before
since missing some of these infections could be fatal


this morning i looked at a world map of infectious
outbreaks for the last few years
some parts of the united states looked like
a third world country
but
it was not in the poor parts of the country
it seems those areas seem to have the sense to immunize
except of course texas doesnt

heck even mississippi leads the nation

its in areas like
southern california
washington
oregon
mostly measles and whooping cough

im proud of the austism community like autism speaks
who have come out in favor of vaccinations
i have personally heard from several parents of patients of mine
and some not former patients whose children have autism
all in favor of vaccinations

i warned parents who didnt vaccinate of the risk
but i would work with them
even altering the schedule of the vaccines to fit
their comfort time frame
many eventually got what shots they needed

does society have the right to force parents to immunize
like
society can force a parent to give a child chemotherapy
that can cure their leukemia eg all leukemia or some lymphomas

do we should we

i hope
that the politicians would stay out of this
and
let science be the guide to do whats right
