musings

MUSINGS
on thanksgiving day as i sat in an easy chair
at my historian brother and cowgirl sister in laws
house
watching the cowboys and then the longhorns play
football
i started to do some musings
since the games were nothing to think about
disappointing is what they were

musings is what i switched to
deep thinking
thankful thinking

i realized how lucky i guess thats the word
my wife she and i are

i have my health which so far is stable and looking
better
maybe
something that i didnt expect to be saying 4 years ago
when i got hit over the head with the sledgehammer
news
that i had short term memory loss that was probably
due to alzheimers
here take this pill with all those disturbing side effects
hope it helps
something has
plus i eat right sleep right well it takes a compensating
nap each day to get in my 7-8 hours
im happy most of the time
not anxious
stay busy mentally and physically
yep
im musingly happy about all that

i have a good wife my wife she
she tolerates me
we both got to do with our careers what we love
our destiny if you will
i  a family docotor
she a teacher

we are financially secure the rest of our lives unless
some catastrophe happens like the financial systems
total collapse
it took hard work and being frugal when frugality isnt
what we really wanted to do

we own our home our cars all our possessions
its all ours

we can go and travel when we want

i get to garden which i love
volunteer
preach the gospel of alzheimers to all who will listen

and
of course the new grand baby that will arrive next spring

so yes i did a lot of musings on thanksgiving day
and
the following days after that

no regrets
