feel good feel bad

FEEL GOOD FEEL BAD
feel good
thats what i felt like for the last week
since i started my new vitamin and supplement regimen
that i wrote about in last fridays blog

here is a picture of the handful i take each morning
minus 2 that i will add today
and
minus those 5 prescription pills i take also

here is what i notice after a week
i feel more alert
i have more energy
the late day fatigue i was getting from the aricept (donepezil)
sees to be gone
as is the  morning nausea
and
i seemed to have gained at least one hour and sometimes two
hours of sleep at night
and
my noon naps are not as long

so ive seen these benefits so far

now the long term benefit will be longer in the making
will i see a benefit in my memory over the next several
months to a year
if i do it will get documented as i do my annual neuropsych
tests in the spring
plus
like i have written before i will know myself before that time

the voyage is ok so far

feel bad
if you have a son or daughter or grandson or granddaughter or
a nephew or niece who is obese
you should feel bad for them
they will not live as long as their slimmer friends
nor will you if you are obese

they will get diabetes especially type 2 in higher numbers
high blood pressure
high cholesterol and triglycerides
stroke
heart attack

one thing when you look at those diseases
these are the ones that are highly associated with alzheimers disease

now it seems that kids that are obese seem to have a higher
chance of getting alzheimers disease later in life

obesity at a young age seems to affect the hippocampus
the area of memory and the area where alzheimers disease
starts its cancerous spread
the process may be starting in these young kids

one place to start may be in schools in the physical activity area
kids who are given increased minutes in physical activity have
increased scores in standardized test for elementary schools

maybe what ms obama is trying to do in the schools is
a good thing for kids
eat right and exercise

so things may be setting up in the brain at this early age for
obese kids
so that
dementia will be the end result later in life

solution
eat a well balanced diet
sugars saturated fats processed foods need to be eliminated
exercise needs to be added

lets make us all feel better by doing something about this
if not for us adults
do it for them
