MADE MY DAY

he made my day the other day
his presentation and its aftermath showed why
you need to think for yourself

ive decided to not watch the political conventions this
year as they are preprogrammed shows that after
awhile gets hard to watch

the next day after clint gave his presentation i was
driving from a meeting and heard on a fox news
channel how bad it was and how inappropriate it was
and how he has lost touch with reality

then i heard npr who had a democrat and an
republican on their program pretty much saying
the same thing
yep the democrats and republicans actually
agreed on something

i thought to myself well old clint has finally lost
it now
guess i would if my wife was on a reality show
heard he was incoherent mumbling talking to a chair
and making no sense at all

when i got home i found his presentation and watched
it twice
wasnt sure i was watching the same presentation that
they were
yep it was  a clip of the presentation from the local
pbs station

how could what i was seeing and what i thought about
it be so different from what the news people were seeing

well i guess he shouldnt have said something about what
romney could do to himself and
that lawyers shouldnt be president-both romney and obama
are harvard lawyers

it was a half time show
a routine
a one man show like you might see on broadway
it was a comedy like routine that i think made his point
it gave his view on president obamas presidency
using comedy and a one act play to make that point
and
he made it
didnt he

i dont necessarily agree with him but he did a good job
much like on comedy central colbert daily show saturday
night live jay leno david letterman etc
comedy allows us to laugh at ourselves and with clint
he used it to make his point

he made my day

as ive written before and this event with clint eastwood
demonstrates
you have to read analyse and think for yourself
and not let others do it for you

i dont watch fox news and i dont watch msnbc
i watch more independent shows selectively and with an
open mind
i read different views on the internet that are truly more
balanced
i read two newspapers each day
yes i try to think for myself

yep this election is not going to be determined by those
who watch fox news and those who watch msnbc news
it will be determined by those who probably dont like
either one
and who live in penn va nc fla ohio mich wisc colo nev
those swing states

yep these people are thinking for themselves
