PURPLE MONTH
the month of september is purple month
its world alzheimers month
september 21 is purple day
everyone is suppose to wear purple that day
try to get involved this month

WICHITA LINEMAN
well the wichita lineman has it too
glen campbell announced it this year
he has produced an album called ghost on the canvas
it will probably be his last one
he will do a tour promoting the album
during the interview he cant remember his age and other facts but
he remembers his lyrics
sometimes in this disease you remember the past quite well but
the short term memory is the problem
eventually you even lose the past memories as the disease marches on

he almost seems ok but he really is not
you can pick up on the areas he cant remember
the wichita lineman is still on the line

tropical depression 13 is sitting in the northern gulf of mexico
stationary
means its getting stronger
it may soon become hurricane lee
wonder if it would gently gently move west and dump some
rain on parched texas but without any damage please
we could use about 20 inches of rain to get caught up
for the year
just dont dump all of it at one time

ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up about purple month. It's a great tool to bring more awareness. My friend's mom had the Big A. She and her daughters are walking in the walk in Chicago. Their team is called CRS. Her mom who had a fantastic sense of humor would tell people that she had CRS disease, and after the inevitable quizzical look she'd explain, "Can't remember s**t disease". It would always get a laugh. Good thing we can laugh so we don't have to cry all the time.
